Commerce Orientation Session Breakdown

10.00am – 11.00am

Dean’s Welcome -

The Dean will formally welcome students to the Faculty and introduce first year teaching staff. Students will be provided with vital information for all new Commerce students – important dates, how the Commerce Tutorial Preference system works, and academic rules you need to know. All international and domestic students enrolling in degrees with the Faculty of Commerce are encouraged to attend this information session.

11.00am - 11.30am

Morning Tea -

Morning tea for students/COMMSSA stall/ Commerce Central stall and other organised activities

11.30am – 1.00pm Pre Enrolment Session

Pre enrolment information session for all Domestic and International students. There will be information about courses made available in this session.

Students are also advised to take the Commerce virtual orientation tour prior to Orientation Week: http://www.uow.edu.au/commerce/orientation

O Day Festival

12.00 – 4.00pm

Once you have completed your Orientation, come an join us on the McKinnon Lawn (in front of building 67). There will be food, fun, music, street theatre, clubs and societies and loads more activities to see and join in on.

UOW Movie Night

6.00pm - 9.00pm

Socialise, relax, enjoy a night at the Movies. Enjoy some food, beverages and opportunities to meet new students. All new domestic and international students are welcome. The UOW Movies night will be at the Hope Theatre Building 40. Pink Panther 2 is the film that will be screened and UOW have organised a bus which will collect new students from the UOW Accommodation Houses from 5 - 6.30pm and return these students at the end of the movie.
