University of Wollongong

What is credit transfer and how do I apply?

You may apply for credit transfer on the basis of tertiary studies completed prior to enrolment at the University of Wollongong.  Studies undertaken at other universities, TAFE and private colleges may be considered for credit.  Credit transfer may be granted either as specified credit (exemptions from specific subjects) or unspecified credit (in the form of credit points granted towards your degree).

An application form for credit transfer will be available at the enrolment centre.  A transcript of your academic record must accompany the completed form and you may also be required to provide the subject descriptions from your previous institution.  Your credit may be able to be approved by the Faculty Delegate Authorities on enrolment day, if not you should enrol in a program that assumes that the credit will be granted.  If not all of the credit you apply for is granted you can change your subject enrolment later, preferably before lectures commence.
