Accepting your offerApplicants who applied via UACIf you received your offer through UAC you must accept your offer online at http://www.uac.edu.au/. To accept online please click on "For instructions on how to respond to your offer" from the UAC offer page and follow the prompts. You must accept your offer by 26 January 2010. If you intend to defer you do not have to accept your offer at this time (see ‘How to defer’). Accepting an offer does not stop you from being considered in subsequent offer rounds (unless you received an offer for your first preference, in which case you would have to change your preferences to be considered for another course – go to http://www.uac.edu.au/undergraduate/faq/change-preference.shtml for information about how to change your preferences). You do not need to send in the acceptance slip attached to the bottom of your offer letter – we will collect this from you on enrolment day. Please ensure that you bring your “Offer of Admission” letter with you when you attend the University on enrolment day. Applicants who applied directly to the UniversityTo accept your offer please go to coursefinder.uow.edu.au/coursefinder/OfferDetail.aspx and complete the online acceptance form. Please ensure that you bring your offer letter with you on enrolment day. How to deferIf you wish to defer your UOW offer please do not enrol in your course at this time. You can defer most UOW courses for a maximum of one year and no deferment fees are charged. All applications for deferment must be received by 31 March. Deferments are normally granted for 12 months although it may be possible to commence some courses in July. Please check coursefinder.uow.edu.au/coursefinder/ to confirm the intake availability for your degree Please note, deferments are not available for any courses offered by the Faculty of Creative Arts. This includes the Bachelor of Media Studies, Bachelor of Creative Arts, Bachelor of Journalism and all associated double degrees. To access the on-line deferment application, simply go to coursefinder.uow.edu.au/deferralrequest. Once you have lodged your request you will receive an automated reply confirming the receipt of your deferment application. Note: if your course of study includes a TAFE study component, you should also contact the relevant TAFE campus to advise them of your request to defer. The University will send you a new offer letter, signifying that your deferment has been approved, and it will indicate your new commencement date. Your offer letter will be emailed to you as an attachment after 31 March therefore it is important that you check your email address regularly during this time. It is also important to save a copy of your emailed offer as you will be required to present this letter at the time of enrolment. If you don’t have access to the internet you should write to our UniAdvice office, requesting a deferment (please enclose a copy of your offer letter).
